SITE HELP
Site Navigation: Home Page
On the home page, navigation is segmented in four ways:

1. Utility Navigation
The Utility Navigation is located in the upper right of the page interface, and is available from every top-level page on CBPP's Web site. These are resources that can be used to find people, places, and specific pages.

2. Audience Navigation
The Audience Navigation combines information, resources, and links into collections aimed at specific audiences. For instance, a prospective student would expect to find links to specific department links under the Department listing audience page. Audience navigation is presented on the home page as a row of drop down menus.

3. Page Crumbs
The Page Crumbs provide information about where you have moved within the web site and display an active link path for a return to any previously visited pages.

4. Department Navigation
The Department Navigation provides information for successful navigation to the main areas of interest for the specific department.

5. Quick Links
The Quick Links provide for quick navigation to specific links found to be high volume visitor navigation pages.  These links are important to the visitor who wishes to jump to specific pages housed on non CBPP servers.

6. Content Navigation
Below the page splash graphics and on the left of the page are the most commonly requested site locations that don't belong to a particular audience. These items are presented in list form throughout the site, and expand to reveal submenu items—when required—once a navigation item has been selected.

7. Footer Navigation
Footer Navigation items are available on every page, at the very bottom, and gives quick access to less frequently used (but important nevertheless) items such as CBPP's privacy policy and accessibility information. A "Contact Us" link is also reliably found in the footer navigation so that at any time, a user can submit a question to CBPP's administration.

Site Navigation: Sub-pages
Once a user has selected an area within the Audience Navigation, the audience navigation disappears with the expectation that users will move beyond CBPP's top-level site to pursue information more central to their immediate needs.

On all sub-pages (below the home page), the Content Navigation is available on the left side of the page.

Additionally, you can always return to the home page by clicking the CBPP logotype in the upper left corner of the page. And below the page image montage, you can find a "crumb trail" that shows you the most direct path from the home page to the page that you're currently viewing. Note that the Utility Navigation and Footer Navigation will always remain in their same locations.

Getting Help
As with any Web site, there comes an occasional need to contact the individuals responsible for the content or technical aspects of the site. The Contact Us link in the footer of every page leads to a form that allows you to direct correspondence to an appropriate administrator, who will attend to your inquiry in a timely fashion. It is important to emphasize that selecting a specific topic area (first item in the contact form) will greatly speed the response to your note. Technical concerns should be directed to the Site Administrator.

Site Requirements
The technical requirements of this site will cause problems for users who are not accessing the Web with a standards-compliant browser. The CBPP Web presence was designed with fairly strict adherence to W3C specifications, and with accessibility in mind.

For optimum use, we recommend using a standards-compliant browser, that renders HTML and CSS according to W3C specifications. These browsers include, but are not limited to Netscape 7.2 and newer, Internet Explorer 5.5 and newer, Apple's Safari, and all builds of Mozilla. These browsers have passed quality assurance tests on all contemporary Macintosh and Windows operating systems. Mozilla is also available for Unix users, and Linux users can rely on Netscape, Mozilla, and Konqueror.
