This class will explore the role of theory in public administration with an emphasis on PAT-Net’s
influence. It will also focus on this year’s conference theme:
Masks..Boundaries. This class is designed for MPA students who have successfully completed some MPA courses.
Seven faculty members from the United States and Australia who have been active in PAT-Net over the year will team-teach.
Attendance at the Public Administration Theory Network Conference is included as part of the class. |

(mandatory for class participants): June 19- 21, 2003
Tentative Class Dates:
June 18, 9:00 am-5:00 pm , June 21, 2:30 pm-4:30 pm ,
June 22, 8:30 am-10:30 am , June 23, 9:00 am — 1:00 pm
Credits: 3 Graduate Credits
Cost: $719 includes tuitions, fees, and conference registration fees
Housing is available through UAA Student Housing for
$35 per person per night (single bedroom, shared bath with one other).
There are also double rooms available for $60 per room per night.

Students are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to get to Alaska.
Students are encouraged to submit a letter of intent to register in the class
(with faculty recommendations) to Dr. Steven Arufrecht before March 24, 2003 .
