Previous Experience:
Larry L. Ross, Professor of Economics, has been a member of the University of Alaska faculty since 1971. A native of Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon, Professor Ross received his economics education at the University of Oregon and Princeton University. In addition to his long-time tenure at UAA, Professor Ross also held teaching and research appointments at the University of Oregon and Princeton University, and taught and coached athletics at Oregon's Bandon High School prior to attending law school and graduate school. Beyond academia, he has served as both an economic and sports marketing consultant, and has represented firms such as Nike, Inc. and G.Loomis, Inc. With an academic career spanning thirty-plus years, Professor Ross has introduced the world of economics to thousands of undergraduate and graduate students via both on-campus and distance delivery.
