of Anchorage.

Economic Education.
Dr. Huskey was also
a member of the
Scientific Committee
of the OCS Advisory
Board for the U.S.

for the Western
Regional Science
Association and a
reviewer for
numerous academic
publications.

Dr. Huskey has
written on a variety
of topics including
the rural economy of
Alaska, Alaska's
economic
development, the
location of
knowledge based
firms, and the
teaching of
economics. His work
has appeared in such
journals as The
Annals of Regional
Science, Arctic,
Growth and Change,
The American
Economist and The
Journal of
Environmental
Management. He has
also presented
papers at a number
of professional
meetings. Dr. Huskey
has produced
research reports for
such organizations
as the Alaska
Housing Finance
Corporation, the
Anchorage Community
Planning Department,
the U.S. Department
of the Interior, the
Henry M. Jackson
Foundation, BP
Alaska, and the
Alaska Volcano
Observatory. He has
co-authored two
comic books to teach
economics to junior
high school
students, and the
most recent one was
translated into
Russian for use in
their schools.
