Previous Experience:
Before he joined the
UAA faculty in 1989,
Dr. Boze taught in
the School of
Management at the
University of
Fairbanks for five
years. Prior to
that, he taught at
Centernary College
in Shreveport,
Louisiana, at the
University of
Arkansas, and with
Boston University's
Overseas Graduate
Program in Germany.
Dr. Boze started
teaching in 1977 at
St. Bonaventure
University in
upstate New York
after auditing for
two of the "Big 6"
accounting firms. He
also spend the
summer 1995 as a
visiting Professor
at the University of
the West Indies in
Trinidad.
Areas of Expertise:
He currently
specializes in Cost
Management and Cost
Accounting;
Financial
Management; and
Financial and
Managerial
Accounting. He has
previously taught
almost every course
in the finance area.

Dr. Boze has been
the director of
graduate studies for
the College of
Business and Public
Policy and served as
chair of the UAA
Graduate Affairs
Board, Executive
Committee of the
Faculty Senate, the
Institutional Review
Board, and on the
the CBPP and
Campus-wide Faculty
Evaluation
Committee. He has
also served as the
accounting
department Chair. He
has served 5 years
as a Board Advisor
(& Charter Member)
of the Alaska 8(a)
Association and on
their Education
Committee.

Dr. Boze is a member
of the Pan-Pacific
Business
Association,
American Accounting
Association (AAA)
and Institute of
Management
Accounting (IMA). He
currently serves on
the Board of
Directors of the
Alaska chapter of
the IMA.

Dr. Boze has been a

organizations. He

professional
