Previous Experience:
Before starting her current full-time teaching appointment at UAA in 2001, Ms. Voge spent over 18 years working in private industry in a variety of Information Technology related positions. She has held positions in corporate training, computer support, software programming, systems analysis and design, database administration, and systems project management. Ms. Voge has also held numerous adjunct lecturer positions at community colleges and technical schools. Prior to coming to UAA, she held a project lead / principle systems analyst position for a PeopleSoft human resources and payroll system implementation project for an organization with over 10,000 employees.


Areas of Expertise:
Ms. Voge’s areas of experience and interest include systems analysis and design, database design and development, systems integration, data warehousing, and systems project management.

University, Professional, Public Service:
Ms. Voge has served on a number of departmental and College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) committees. Her committee appointments have included the CBPP Standards and CBPP Assessment / Curriculum committees as well as several department level search committees. Beginning in Fall 2004, Ms. Voge will be serving a two-year term on the UAA Faculty Senate. Ms. Voge has also served as Treasurer on the Executive Board for a local PTA at an Anchorage School District middle school.

Professional Affiliations:
Ms. Voge is a member of IRMA (Information Resources Management Association) and ASTD (American Society for Training and Development).

Scholarship/Creative Activity:
During Spring 2004, Ms. Voge co-authored a systems analysis teaching case with two of her colleagues, Dr. Dennis Drinka and Dr. Minnie Yen, to be published in Volume VII of the Annals of Cases on Information Technology (ACIT).

In May 2003, Ms. Voge participated as a session panelist at the Information Resources Management Association (IRMA) International Conference. The topic for the session was Issues in Web-Based Education: Revisited.

Honors, Awards, Certificates, Licenses:
In Spring 2004, Ms. Voge was honored to have been nominated and selected as the CBPP Teacher of the Year. She is also listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers for 2004.
