Professor Forrest,
We are launching an experimental new support service this week - an online classroom that any student can visit during the day.
In a typical support call, students and our facilitators only can hear each other over the phone. Our experimental classroom lets multiple students see and hear the answers to questions.
For example, students would pose questions via a chat with their keyboard.
The facilitator could bring up the student's reports, then make comments that the student could hear through the computer's speakers or headset.
Any other student, logging on to the service, also would see and hear the answers.
The service is experimental, but we think it has much potential. If you could mention it to your students, we would appreciate it.
To access the online classroom, students click the "Virtual Classoom - BETA" link on their Help page.
Please let us know what you think.
Thanks for your help,
Dan Smith
